INSTACOAT™ P4

INSTACOAT™ P4 is an aqueous based film coating system. It provides a robust coating and is advised for certain drugs. It is a dry blend of polymer, plasticizer and approved colours. The polymer used in INSTACOAT™ P4 is Sodium alginate. It gives a glossy finish to tablets at nominal weight gain values of around 2.5 to 3.0%. The system being robust, can be handled with variety of coating pans and processes without stringent processing conditions. It offers a viable alternative to solvent coating.
