INSTAMODEL™ EPD (Enteric Polymeric Dispersion)

INSTAMODEL™ EPD is a ready-to-use aqueous dispersion made from ECOPOL L30D-55 pharma acrylic polymer, especially designed to provide flexible property in the enteric film coating for soft gelatin capsule and MUPS.

Instamodel™ EPD forms a colourless, transparent or coloured film over the surface of the core which protects the API from the natural gastric juice and thus provides excellent enteric property.

Advantages:

• Provide transparent/translucent coating on soft gel capsule.
• Prevent belching action of soft gel capsules containing cod liver oil, garlic or mint.
• Maintains functionality & prevents cracking of film over soft gel capsule by forming an elastic film.
• Ready-to-use aqueous dispersion so doesn’t require any additional formulation or mixing step.
• Instamodel™ EPD doesn’t require any homogenize or mixing step before the spraying on the tablets and thus helps save time & cost.
• Processing ease & customized colour
• Rapid coating application: Besides using a colour coat over white enteric coated tablets, desired colour can be directly added to EPD for a coloured product.

Applications:

• Enteric film coating of Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, Herbal, Ayurvedic and Chinese traditional medicines.
• Enteric film coating of soft gel capsules & MUPS (Multiple Unit Pellet System).
• Also useful in tablet within tablet.

Uses:

• INSTAMODEL™ EPD uses on coated & uncoated tablets will be 9.5 % W/W weight gain.
